Privacy Policy

The short version

You can use every calculator on DayCents without creating an account or telling us who you are. The numbers you enter into calculators are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic, configured so it never builds an advertising profile of you — see our cookie policy for exactly what your browser stores.

What we collect

• Traffic measurement via Google Analytics 4. This records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and which features are used — for example that a calculator was adjusted or a CSV was downloaded. It does not record the figures you type into a calculator. We have disabled Google Signals and ad personalization, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences or follow you across other sites.
• An email address — only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter. We record your consent (with a timestamp and a hashed IP for abuse prevention) and use the address solely to send the newsletter. Every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe anytime by writing to support@daycents.com.
• Standard technical logs at our hosting provider (status codes, timing) needed to keep the service reliable.

Opting out of measurement

Any browser setting or extension that blocks Google Analytics will stop this collection entirely, and nothing on the site depends on it — every calculator works exactly the same. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics on every site. You can additionally clear the cookies listed in our cookie policy at any time.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't store the financial inputs you type into calculators. If you choose to save a scenario, it is kept in your own browser's local storage — it is never transmitted to us, and we cannot read it.
• We don't require an account to use free tools.
• We don't run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or cross-site audience building.

Who we share data with

Google, as the processor for Google Analytics, and only the measurement data described above. Our hosting provider processes the technical logs needed to serve the site. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.

Advertising

When advertising launches, we will update this policy with the networks used, the choices available to you (including "Do Not Sell or Share" rights under California law and Global Privacy Control signals, which we honor), and consent controls where required.

Your rights & contact

Wherever you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU GDPR — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold (in practice: your newsletter subscription). Email support@daycents.com and we will respond within 45 days. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of today; if that ever changes, we will honor Global Privacy Control signals and provide the required controls.
